Teaching Highlights
Teaching Artist, Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York, NY 2005-Present
-Opportunities included performing in a trio capacity for different events such as the Essentially Ellington Competition and the Band Director’s Academy.
-As part of the Jazz in the Schools Tour, The Matthew Rybicki Quintet presented two weeks of musical workshops throughout New York City for Middle and High Schools.

- Travel to high schools and colleges in New York offering music students different musical ideas and perspective

Improvisation
Rehearsal and performance techniques
Jazz and Latin Rhythms
Styles and Analysis
- Perform repertoire from the jazz idiom with other clinicians
- Lecture on the music’s history, terminology, and spiritual elements
- Rehearse the band’s current pieces addressing areas that need improvement
Private Piano Studio since 1994
- I teach classical and jazz music to large array of students from ages 5 and up, with a specialization in adult students.
- Topics include reading, improvisation, music theory, harmony, ear training, and composition. Also offered are no-nonsense techniques for practicing effectively.
